Great food (Chips & Salsa, Chili con Queso, Pizza Bread, Green Chile Chicken Pizza), great service staff!!
This place was conveniently located close to our hotel in Ouray. Raegan and I split a pizza, her with sausage and olives, my half with double pepperoni and sausage. It was very good! The crust was chewy and the toppings had great flavor. Service was friendly and prompt. I'd go back and have their pizza in Ouray any time.
Nice to see Detroit Style pizza on the menu!
Most mediocre place I've ever been to. After a long hike, we wanted some good, comfort food. Instead, we got lame Mexican food. There was live music that was way too loud, but the drunk girl at the bar seemed to enjoy it. Service was slow, we were getting ready to leave when we were finally helped. The only good things about this place- the food was hot and came out fast. As for quality... Not so much. I mean, it was served on a cafeteria tray.
We came in for lunch. We ordered a pizza and a Cesar salad. The pizza was really good. The salad was vary tasty. The bill was very small. Excellent prices.
Had wings and Encinitas...both were great!
Best pizza on the Western slope.
Food is okay, service is so so, nothing there to impress anyone. If you want pizza cheese bread you gotta pay extra for marinara. Only place I ever seen that happen.
Great Chicago style pizza - and beer options!
Great beer! Except they don't make a dark beer.😉 Food is delicious! Great service! Awesome patio! I just really like this place!
Excellent. Great food, beautiful building, great patio.
Real good
They were able to seat our family of 10. Service was good. Most of us had pizza, which was good. Ambiance was good too.
Great rellenos, great guacamole, great beer!
Nice place . Great service. Great drinks.
The margaritas, the guac, the pizza... everything is so good here.
Friendly welcome, quick service and good food. They have their own beers, which were good :) (i tried the blond)
I've been a fan of Colorado Boy since it's inception. The artisan pizzas are amazing! Love their cask beers. I also love that the Ouray location added some southwestern/mexican fare to their menu with the exodus of Buen Tiempo. Also worth mentioning is the environment and amazing staff! I've been here when every single table was packed, there was a line out the door, and it was Jessie,1 bartender, and the kitchen staff holding it down. Totally understaffed and running it. Their backs were up against the wall all night. They stayed calm, positive, and were engaging with every single customer. It was beyond impressive and did not go unnoticed.
Wasn’t a fan. Chips n salsa were pretty good, I’d stick with the pizza if you go, good crust/cheese used. The southwestern food kinda misses the mark. Husband disliked everything, I just thought eh it could be better. Service was lacking too, waitress seemed clueless.
Great pizza, good atmosphere, and refreshing beer!
Really good beer, especially the cask ale they had!
Beer was good service was bad waitress got our pizza order wrong didn't get our chips and salsa until we ask after we hot our wrong pizza, waitress was to concerned about waiting on large tables with 4 to 6 people, didn't care about only 2 people knowing the tip was not going to be as much . In restaurant business for 30 years I know that this is what happened.
Great beer, drinks and pizza. Pizza is outstanding. Nice attentive staff. That said their "Mexican food" is the worst in the region. Buy their beer, buy their pizza, buy their cocktails. Skip the last part.
Not sure if the current restrictions has something to do with slow service but I ordered my food to go and 30 minutes later it still wasn’t ready.
What a great place! Great service and fantastic food and beers. Had a great dinner there with the family.
Great food, good drinks & wonderful staff!
Tried this place out admittedly reluctantly at first seeing as how it looked like a weird combo of foods (pizza or Mexican) but incredibly glad we did. I had eaten at the previous Mexican restaurant that occupied this location last year which was average, but this blew that place out of the water. We all got burritos which were incredibly delicious and filling. Both the green and red sauces were great, the red being just at that perfect edge of spicy-ness. The margaritas were equally fantastic as was the blonde house brew I tried (we ate here a couple times during our stay). Lastly, the pricing was great! For such a filling and tasty meal + drinks you can't go wrong at their price point. Hopefully this place is here to stay for the foreseeable future, we'll keep coming back every year.
We were pleasantly surprised with our visit to Colorado Boy. Not having any previous experience with this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. The menu is a bit of a mash up having Mexican food, and specialty pizzas, but it worked out great. The Queso great, ranks with some of the best I've had. My wife had a enchilada and shared a garlic pizza with me. Both meals were better than we expected, and we would definitely visit here again.
We stopped in on our stay in Ouray. My husband stayed outside with our dog while I went in and asked if the patio was dog friendly. The man I asked said yes, so my husband and dog came in. The man had gone to wait tables so a female server greeted us and said we don't let dogs on the patio. I told her the man had just said you do, so she asked him and he said yes, then another female server rudely said no dogs on patio. We left. They seem to have a problem with communication amongst the staff and were unprofessional and rude to us as potential customers. It was embarrassing to say the least.
We walked in due to the trout special posted on the window - a nice surprise among pizza/Mexican fare. The chef came out to check on how we liked it - which was nice. We were happy to be seated and have a dinner out. Only complaint -we ordered a full spinach salad to split and subbed tomatoes for the red peppers. The waitress said it was fine to split a full and to sub the tomatoes for red peppers. When the bill came, she charged us for 2 half salads and $1.50 extra for each salad. The Manager fixed it as you see in the response. So - maybe just check if substitutions are extra. And - as restaurants get back in the swing of things - maybe it was just a training issue.
AMAZING!! Great atmosphere, friendly hosts and servers. Food is delicious! Great variety of beer and wine options. Family friendly. HIGHLY recommended!!
We were there 1 week ago and will never go back, the food was good but I could have done without the waitress we had, acted so unprofessional and even stated she wasn't a waitress. Well it definitely showed!!! 😖
Pizza and local beer were great. Buffalo was not disappointing. Safe with COVID too.
Great food and service!
I had a build your own pizza. Wife had the beef tacos. Both were delicious. The Irish Red beer I had was great, and my wife had a jalapeno margarita that she really enjoyed. The Marine Corps flag in the window drew us in. Semper Fi!
Had the brisket sandwich. Was very good but not the best brisket you’re gonna find in say Texas. Fries were great. Slightly limited menu options but still overall very satisfied with the food and the service. I’d definitely go back and would recommend this place.
Always love stopping there
Good food. Service was busy to tend to the tables like they should. A little loud but due to the event in town that was expected. Will return.
Good but trendy and the prices reflect that. I am in a wheelchair and there is not alot of room between tables. Hard to move around but mostly because it was crowded. Goof food, nothing memorable.
Overall Ouray is a magical town. If you can find yourself a summer camp site you might just have the time of your life. On top of that the downtown shop, bar, and food selection is terrific. Late one night I stopped in for some enchiladas and a Mexican lager. The beer was incredible, the enchiladas weren't anything special, the 90s/early 200's dance music selection was exactly what I was in the mood for.. At the end of the night I left happy. Come check this place out.
The best beer and food we had in Ouray. The staff was also very friendly and the patio was nice. Definitely recommend.
My wife and I were vacationing in Ouray, staying right next door at the Beaumont so we decided to stop in for a beer and a pizza...glad we did, it was excellent. Good bartender and food.
Excellent food and no wait! Ate here twice during our stay in Ouray. Detroit style pizza is done right and so delicious! Just a few doors down from Ouray Brewery.
My home away from home...
We ordered a $9.50 Caesar salad that came with brown and wilting lettace. Sent it back. Our $15.50 Detroit style pizza came with very little toppings and was not hot. The service was good.
We split a pizza and large house salad. I felt the salad could have been bigger for $9 with basic toppings. The pizza was very good. They served an awesome garlic chili oil for dipping the crust. The prickly pear margarita With awesome salt, spicy, sour rim. Nice atmosphere and good wait service.
Pizza was fantastic! Would come back for sure!
